Each of us is a component of the ecosystem, and if we break one link in it, we break everything. We feel this influence on ourselves, just not immediately.

In addition to people, other living beings also suffer – animals that live in the wild. According to the UN, 15% of marine animal species are threatened with extinction due to the presence of a huge amount of garbage in the water. And even pets, such as dogs, go out to eat the remains of bags and other garbage, endangering their lives. That is, the problem is not that by creating garbage, we harm nature or the environment. In fact, we are hurting ourselves.
Plan ahead and prepare
The main recommendation is to plan ahead. Agree, this helps not only in a picnic situation but also in many other life situations. Taking your own camping plates, cups, forks, etc. with you, you can not only do without disposable tableware but also avoid a bunch of garbage from the packaging. Do not use wet wipes – they are made of plastic and contain harmful chemicals, are not recyclable, and pollute soil and water. An alternative is reusable cloth towels and water. As a last resort (we don’t know what this case is, maybe you don’t have towels or an old sheet) – paper towels.
It is important to think about what you will eat and drink before buying. Vegetables for salads can be put in your pouches or bags instead of bags. If you want to take a lot of different vegetables, you do not need to take a lot of bags (especially bags) – they are easy to put together in one large bag. Write a list of foods you are going to take based on the number of people so that there are no food leftovers. The most environmentally friendly way is to buy products from local producers, as well as seasonal fruits and vegetables. Take care of drinks in advance – water or homemade lemonade can be taken in sports reusable bottles, and tea or coffee can be poured into a thermos.
To avoid taking large bags of food, choose reusable bags. Sports bags will serve you for more than one season, you can pack them for a picnic, a trip, or the gym. Find out in advance whether it is possible to make a fire in the clearing where you are going. In wild, unequipped places, it is better to refuse open fire. If you plan to grill something, rent a reusable one.
